Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO)
Certification Level - This version of MOLO is a mid-level technical course designed to provide hands-on experience and classroom knowledge of landfill location criteria, design, construction, operations, closure and post-closure care, for those persons responsible for landfill management or senior level landfill operations.

Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) Recertification
Recertification Level – For those with a current MOLO Certification, this senior level technical course is designed to provide a workshop experience of knowledge and current practices of landfill location criteria, design, construction, operations, closure and post-closure care, for those persons currently certified, wishing to extend or renew certification.

Managing Construction & Demolition Materials
This certification level course provides the information and knowledge required to properly manage Construction and Demolition materials and the disposal of residuals from such operations.  Environmentally and economically sound design of recycling and disposal operations for C&D debris materials is also discussed. 

Managing Composting Programs
This certification level course addresses a broad array of concepts critical to successfully managing composting programs including the reasons for composting, typical feedstocks composted, and the importance of compost marketing. This course also provides information on new practices and emerging technologies, and management issues inherent in municipal composting.

Managing MSW Collection Systems
The certification level course discusses state-of-the-art technology and best practices as reported in the literature and practice.  The goal of the course is to provide information that will assist individuals and organizations in the planning, operations and management of residential solid waste and recyclables collection systems. 

Managing Recycling Systems
This certification level course provides the information needed to successfully plan, develop, market, fund, contract and manage recycling programs.  It also addresses collection, processing, end-use standards application and protection of human health and the environment.
 
Managing MSW Transfer Station Systems
This certification level course addresses the factors in the design, operation and management of a transfer station.  It deals with how to effectively communicate and effectively overcome the challenges in planning and operating a transfer station and how the planning and design impact construction and operation. 
 
Household Hazardous Waste & CESQG Collection Facility Operations 
Learn the most common practices of dealing with household hazardous wastes, including how to identify and avoid chemical, operational and health hazards, possible emergencies and federal regulations.


Monday, August 16 - Tuesday, August 17

Manager of Bioreactor Landfills   
This course provides fundamental instruction on issues pertaining to the operation of bioreactor landfills including air addition and gas extraction systems, and regulatory compliance as it pertains to bioreactor landfills. This is the only certification level course of its kind.

Landfill Gas System Operation & Maintenance
This course addresses the best practices and procedures for both the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems.

Tuesday, August 17

HHW Facility Design Workshop  
This one-day HHW Facility Design Workshop will provide a balance of practical advice, examples from facilities across North America to compare, regulatory overview, and hands-on exercises. This is an intensive one-day lecture and guided practical application of concepts and principle for HHW design that focus on your community's needs.
